designing visually engaging interfaces aligned with new generation preferences

designing visually engaging interfaces aligned with new generation preferences

Challenge

The project with the banking corporation involved a large-scale redesign of all their platforms, interfaces, and flows to better fit with new generation market trends. The prior interfaces were out of date and not very intuitive.

New generation requirements like visually appealing responsive design and accessible design with micro-interactions.

My responsibilities

I was involved in the whole project in two distinct capacities. The initial assignment was to improve the loan approval process for consumers by outlining the user flow and then creating the UI designs. I was part in the second task, which was to curate certain sections with an emphasis on the UI to ensure consistency with the rest of the flow language.

Banking loan flow | Wireframe, Prototype and UI

I collaborated with a two-person team to create wireframes and connect the pages of the loan approval flow. My tasks included generating wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs, which were then approved by the design lead.

Prototyping the wireframes to ensure a seamless user flow

Conceptualizing the UI of different sections

Banking product landing page | UI Design

I worked with a three-person team to create the landing page's UI based on defined guidelines for design. My responsibilities included creating pixel-perfect interfaces while guaranteeing consistency. I primarily worked on particular sections of the interface to ensure that the design works seamlessly across multiple pages and screen sizes.

💡 Key Learnings

I learned the necessity of paying attention to details because they play a critical part in design development. I got the knack of utilizing Figma to ensure that the designs were pixel-perfect.I made this a key talent in my profile and applied it to other projects and roles.

I learned how to work with clients who provide differentiating comments. I learned how to effectively express my designs while remaining open to new enhancements. The continual back-and-forth communication made it critical to provide designs that all stakeholders appreciated.

Sparklin agency helped me shift to digital design, where I learned UX and UI design, wireframing, and prototyping while working directly with senior designers. With my bachelor's degree's foundation in user-centered thinking, I was able to understand UX and UI design concepts while also learning about current design trends.
